The firm also provides legal support to individuals interested in taking up residence in Malta in terms of the Residence Scheme Regulations issued under the Income Tax Act, which essentially entitle holders of a Residence Permit to avail themselves of a tax rate of 15% on all income arising outside Malta and received in Malta and an exemption for all capital gains arising outside Malta, subject to a minimum tax liability of €4192. In order to be eligible, residents must not be domiciled or not ordinarily resident in Malta.
